We meet monthly, on the second Saturday of the month, from 12 noon to 4 pm at Bayview Community Centre, 72 Bayview Road, Glenfield, North Shore Auckland.

The facility is a big airy, well-lit hall with kitchen facilities that are very comfortable to meet and sew in.  It is a little off the beaten track so it is nice and quiet with no parking hassles.

We have members with all kinds of sewing interests and varying abilities, from newbie to expert.  Our members have a wealth of knowledge which means we can generally solve other members problems or at the very least progress them.

We welcome new members. If you use a sewing machine or would like to you are more than welcome to join us, we encourage drop in visitors. Come see if you would like to be part of our group.

HISTORY

We started meeting in a basement flat at a member’s home in Northcote in 2009 (approx), calling ourselves “Koru Couture”. After we outgrew the flat, we met at Birkenhead Community House until 2015 when we outgrew that. At the end of that year we became ‘Sewing Connections Auckland”. We are now at the Bayview Community Centre, Glenfield, our third location. This one is much bigger, we hope it will take a while to outgrow!

We have a sister group in Tauranga.
